Casper, WY---Rest Day

"My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty."---Samuel F. Smith 1808-1895

Happy 4th of July!

Today is a real rest day. No rolling involved.

We slept in til 6:00am which felt awesome. We didn't have to throw on our shorts and jerseys and run off to breakfast to gulp down scrambled eggs. It was nice to just sit and linger over breakfast chatting with our cycling buddies. Mike watched the Germany vs. France World Cup soccer game while he napped. In the afternoon, we walked to the downtown area of Casper looking for lunch. The sidewalks are pretty much rolled up because of the holiday.

We did see these guys putting up
this huge flag.

A patriotic yard. Probably belongs to a grandma.

Window shopping.

Equine compression socks.

Lots of crafty stuff.

Fancy tree-wear.

More fancy tree outfits.

The plaque next to this sculpture said:
20% chance of snow flurries.

Tommorow we're off to Lusk, Wyoming. 106 miles.
